Headed out off two rock seen the birds, out went the lures on wire traces ,heaps of splashing on surface then nek minute no lures lol dam it only had 2 on me . O we'll next time
terrible day trying to catch kgw in close an was hooking up on dhuis that wea legal all released safe an sound on 1/0 long shanks had to give up with one kgw on board an a good feed of Crays from my 2 pots!!

unusual to lose 2 like that, back to the shop, was at b/water yesterday and they told me rapalas are old school and they had no big ones!!!!! f... me!

How long were the wire traces? Pretty unlucky to lose a lure let alone 2 with wire. How good are your knots

Definately sounds like Mack's, every now and then mackies will attack the swivel above your wire trace as is creates a bubble trail resembling a small baitfish. Good to hear though

Your exactly right both swivels got snapped but the one the clips onto lure I drove straight through the pack an boom gone lol just had lazer pro 190 on a surface and a diver.
the water temp is 21.9 up here big john was inside of 3 mile reef aswell was good sight to see until then now I'm thinking I should of stopped on pack an cast out some jigs or might buy some poppers for next interview.

Ha ha bloody pain in the ass Dhuies. Good though to see that Mackie action is on the up. Definitely lots of trolling for us this year. Maybe just try with heavy mono wind ons Supafish? Eliminate any shiny stuff before the lure. Looks like the one KGW you was reasonable size.
