I went to a hearing clinic last year and the prices they quoted for hearing aids was way more than I was prepared to pay even with the benefit of good health care insurance cover.
to be honest with you guys, can you realy put a price on your hearing, mine cost me $4500 and i would have paid more if needed, . im deaf in one ear and less than 40% in the other and i missed out on a lot not hearing so to me price was not a prob.
but thats my opinion.

Already cost me $6K 5 years ago for the wife and they have bombed out checked on line and they are half the price and they will program to your hearing test, the rebate from HBF is $400 per ear and its hard to justify buying local
