Green Head LB

Hi guys,
Heading up to Green Head in a couple of weeks and just chasing some info on the landbased fishing there. Searched a fair bit and it sounds like a boat fishing mecca but only taking the yaks out and so is weather dependent.
Being winter I suspect the beaches will be weeded up but Ill give it a go anyway.
Staying in South Bay and heard rumours of a jetty in the area, is fishing allowed off it? If so is it worth trying for b&b species or possibly someting larger?
Cheers
Hutch

You can fish off the jetty
You can fish off the jetty but pretty surgey and weedy through there , billy goat bay and bays with little islands north of town right up coast past leeman ,are very well protected by out lying reef and awesome for kayaking , beach fishing not that good not much in the way of gutters , best beach and only one with a decent gutter just north of sandilands island up toward sandy cape , if you can find another beach on that coast with a gutter on that coast you are doing well , hope this helps !

Didn't get much fishing done due to sizeable swell and the water being infested with seaweed. Only managed a few whiting and had a live skippy out on the drift which got absolutely monstered but no hookup. Oh well, there's always next time I guess
