First snapper . Eels .cobbler. List goes on and on. Now birds and fairy penguins. I wonder if greenies kick up now. What next Dolphins . Just silly question did boats go out and warn everyone down garden island about grain spill no. Did boats go out and warn people about sewerage spill no. Do boats go out and warn people about dead fish Sth end off island. LOl. Out causeway in shoal water . Iam never eating wheat or canola again. Really. Grain terminal choka full off yellow tail and norm bait fish that is always there, also low tide today didn't even see the thousands of rock crabs that hang on causeway today not 1. Far out where was first deaths. Many big fish. Not grain terminal that's for sure. What are total numbers( be like guessing how many jelly beans in a jar). Pitty a couple of big Noah's haven't washed up yet. Would be nice.

Boats Warning Fishing- Well
Boats Warning Fishing- Well that did happen last Thursday(19th) Johnny. Myself and two others fishing in front of the Coathanger(inside) were warned by Navy personal in ribs that there were dead fish washing up on Garden Island. This is also when the first dead fish were seen floating on the surface by us, very little wind that morning. So not hard to work out where actual kill may of happened.
Long way across the Sound from the Grain terminal to the Coathanger,with very little wind and current.
Ohh- and the Navy have a full time Enviromental Officer on Garden Island, where's there report/comments?

Pesticide treated grain
There's alot more to this than whats been let out. CBH lost 5 tonne of pesticide treated canola. Anything that ate this died. There's been alot more hidden clean ups going on that authorities don't want anyone to know about. From the info I've heard, the whole sound is toxic at the moment due to several big spills occuring in a close time frame and little flushing of the sound due to tides and weather.
If anyone sees anything, please get a photo of it and send it to Allan Bevan (0412 131 958) who will pass it onto the relevant people. Please from now on avoid posting on social media as we need the new evidence directed through the right avenues for possible legal action.

The place has been there for nearly 40 odd years .Do you seriously think this is the 1st grain spill ever and if the grain is so poisonous why does it get exported all around the world to feed people like you. Have a think about what your saying while you enjoy your wheat bix toast and coffee at breakfast tomorow morning .Better keep an ambulance on standby.

The Department of Environment Regulation confirmed it was investigating the spill of canola grain from the Kwinana grain jetty, within the Sound, between November 18 and 22 - matching the reports of dead fish.
"DERs investigation aims to establish the facts concerning the spill, including the quantity of the product and any person or persons responsible," a spokeswoman said.
But a Fisheries spokesman said the examination of the dead fish stomach contents found no evidence of canola or any other unnatural food source.

More public information needed !!
That to me is another indication that far to little is being done about this situation and the general lack of information being presented to the general public could ultimately turn out deadly to more than the fish, sharks, birds, dolphins and now apparently foxes and cats (Which are obviously feeding on washed up fish)!!
What's next ....someone who is unaware of the situation eating something they catch and dying ??
How about placing warning signs at the ramps and emphasising the dangers a lot more in the media until the problem is found !!
Until they find out exactly what is causing this to me it would make sense to play it safe !
My fishing spots are so secret........... even the fish don't know where they are !!

If this is the chemical used to store grain, not flash for the environment if it gets in the wrong hands or accidentally dumped in the sound in the wrong proportions.
Could explain a few things or add another theory to the mix.

yes it is used in the industry to control infestations
and the containers were 3.2kg each, not the stock photo containers that some journo grabbed from file,
yes it is fatal at 3 ppm, so no people are not eating this stuff.
