Gimbal recommendations?

Hey guys I'm just chasing opinions on various gimbals because I'm planning on chasing landbased sharks this summer and I'd rather not just have the rod digging straight into me hah. I have no idea on what to look for, the butt of the rod I'm using has crossing lines out of it if that helps to narrow down what I should be looking out for.
Cheers in advance
Shaun.

Harness
I've got a Black Magic Equalizer and it's awesome. I've fought big marlin and tuna stand-up with it on and it performed better than I could imagine. Expensive but definately worth the cash.

Yea I'd be looking for something a bit cheaper than that just to see how this summer goes and if I get right into it that's when I'd be willing to drop some cash on equipment that isn't tackle related. I'll remember to keep that in mind though cheers mate.

have had the same one for at least 20 years and it is still going strong. Would reccomend them any day. Use a kidney harness from a bloke called Crystal Trim on the East coast. Awesome set up for up to 24kg

BRAID harnesses (by dennis braid) makes the best stuff imo. But black magic also make some good stuff. Black magic used to sell a gimbal with kidney harness and straps which comes in a carry bag. Not too expensive from memory, but that was a while ago
