Geraldton/Kalbarri Crays

Hi All, Chasing some info regarding the current 'run' of crays in the Midwest. I'm towing my boat down from Karratha to Gerro next week and was wondering if the crays are still a happening thing, or do I leave my pots at home? Any info will be greatly appreciated as it will make the 1100km tow a little more worth while!

They are doing well in Geraldton in the shallows
Last thing I heard, they were doing well down there in the easily accessible stuff. But things change quickly in the whites, next week could well be too late. Good one day, gone the next, unfortunately, especially if a bit of swell comes in.

I had heard they were doing really well, just goes to show you that you don't beleive everything you hear. Didn't i recently quote " believe nothing of what you hear and half of what you see?

I made a late start (got back from NZ last week and pots in monday), and I either missed them or they werent there.
But noone I spoke to seemed to have got them in the shallows, including a lifetime commercial mate who only uses a dinghy, who you would know of.
Deeper, and Drummonds a little better but nothing like last year.
