fishing tomorrow 28/7
Submitted by Fish guts on Sat, 2013-07-27 14:24
was thinking about heading out tomorrow from woodies. conditions dont look 'ideal' but still fishable. i have a 17ft swift craft and was going to the ffb for a look. do you think im wasting my time or is it worth it? i only just bought a boat so by no means a seasoned vet. im more asking for advice. thanks.

probably a bad idea
looking at the forecast it will still be onshore and there will be a strong drift. Willy weather has it at 18 knots seabreeze 10 - 15.
Agree with above, stay in the sound.

with the size of that swell
with the size of that swell that's out there I think the only thing you will achieve is swamping your boat on the FFB

If its blowin 10kn in the morn Id drop the tub in and fish the sound if I could be arsed (well, if I had any spots on my plotter for the sound that is). Isnt there a squid comp on?
I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

thanks guys. we went out today. we found the D9. we hooked up on it a few times (lol) but nothing in the esky. conditions were not fantastic but still better then sitting at home. Thanks Mattacus for the offer though i have a half share in the boat so there is rarely any room.

Fair enough mate, just thought I'd ask, I'm keen as to get out on a boat since I haven't got my own. Got all the coords for the sound so if anyone doesn't mind I'd love to hitch a ride and share the costs
