The Narrows (either side)
The Narrows (either side) & Matilda Bay Jetty for Tailor & if your lucky Mulloway. Claremont Jetty, off the end for Tailor & if your lucky again, Mulloway, lures over the flats there for Flathead. Aqua Viva jetty for Tailor, Flathead & Bream on the flats with lures. Anywhere upstream of the Narrows for Black Bream, so long as you find structure (fallen trees bridge pylons, jettys etc) you'll be in with a shot at the fish. Lather on the aerogaurd though as the mossies are the worst I've ever seen them this year. They are so bad that I have hardly fished the upper sections of the river this season, even during the day.
In the ocean you might like to baitcast mulies around the reefs at Cottesloe & Trigg. If you go further north you can find Tailor along the Burns Beach to Mindarie stretch. Further north to Club Capricorn is good but get there early to get your spot as it gets busy. Fish within a 200m of the left side of the groyne there so your casting into the gutter between the shore & the reef.
Hope that helps a little.

Hillaries has been pretty
Hillaries has been pretty dead for quite awhile now. There are a few people that reckon you can get fish if you know the right spot, times, baits etc but I'm not one of them & I havn't witnessed any decent catches there for a long time now. Mindarie Marina is a much better bet & you should be able to get into some Tailor & Snook if your baitcasting Mulies. There's plenty of rays there if you fish the bottom & you can usually get Tarwhine etc if you fish prawns along the base of the walls there. The Narrows is live bait territory for the Mulloway or lure casting directly under the lights for Tailor. There's a strong current there but it can be fished effectively if your gear is up to throwing a bigger sinker or throwing light lures for Tailor.

I know YOU can Leemo but your one of those people I was talking about that knows where, when etc :) I've seen some of the pics of your fish from there just havn't seen you down there in person. When I do I'll be sure to come over & say g'day so I can pick your brain. I'm one of those hapless ones that just can't get Hillaries sussed so i go where I know I can get fish.

Mindarie or Narrows, not so
Mindarie or Narrows, not so much Hillaries. If you want to use light gear then look at Claremont Jetty, Matilda Bay Jetty, Old Traffic Bridge (freo) & the Causeway. If your happy to go to the south side of the river you can add Point Walter, Canning Bridge & Bicton Baths to the list. Most jettys & bridges will produce fish if you fish at night & put your baits/lures right in against the structure.

I've always thought of it as
I've always thought of it as the jetty on the opposite side of the yacht club out near the point. The boaties might object to someone chucking lures around the ramp though it's not a problem if you go there late. The floating pontoon jetties a bit north of the boat ramp are also good though you have to get wet to get out there. Bream often hold under those pontoons so well worth a few casts along them. Further around towards perth you have the jetty at the old brewery which is a pretty good spot to try for a few Tailor or even a Mulloway.
