Fish Ranger have just released their new 'Wind 3D' feature

Hi All, this is a courtesy note to let you know Fish Ranger have just released their new Wind 3D feature. Wind 3D provides paired forecasts and observations at all the weather stations in your area so you can see what wind is currently doing, and what its forecast to do, in your entire region at a glance. You can look at the weekly group forecasts and any single day of the week as well.
We welcome your feedback and appreciate the support that Fishwrecked users have given the Fish Rangers site.
To access the new feature, go to the site and select any coastal location, then select the Wind 3D menu near the top of page. Here is a link for convenience to one of the FAD's near Rotnest:

Hi Francis,
Yes the Fish Ranger platform is unified so changes are seen at the same time across iPhone/iPod App, Android App, PC's and browsers.

Fad wind speed.
Just a question.... do these FADS have anemometers attached to them? Just intrigued as to how they can measure real time wind speed.

Michael they don't. On top of the chart it tells you where the Real-Time measurements are being taken from - which is one of the BOM automatic weather stations. Each of the charts down the Wind3D page shw paired observations and forecasts (taken at the point of the station), for each weather station in the area.

Aye mate. Love your webpage and app and it's my go to forecast report along with Meteye.
Any chance of including a forecast for the Sth Guildford area as it can be very different from the Perth waters?

Hi Jackfrost, Thanks for your positive feedback.
You can always request a new location anywhere you like, on land or water, by going to the 'Locations' page and selecting 'Request New Location'. I have however just done this one for you and processed it. Its now live and you can find it here:
