First day of the ban

Heading out this morning, with 6 lb bream outfits on the ready. Squid and whiting the target, no doubt some big bruisers will decide to crash the party!!!

Thats the way
That's the way to do it John, Last season i had quite a few trips out with the bream gear, had a lot of fun too.
I ended up with sum nice fish, big sandies, flathead, KG's , and a masive flounder. One day every second or third sand whiting i hooked got smashed on the way up , little bronzies were grabing them, wich were interesting to fight on the bream gear for the short time they were hooked.

Mindaries
Straight out from Mindaries Matt. Just find large sand patches and small hooks with squid baits. The further out you go the bigger the sandies seem to get.

Terrible day, rough, big
Terrible day, rough, big swell, green water and lots of silt. We gave up after an hour or so.

had planned to do something similar and may be see some whales - the 9 yr old is desperate to see whales, ;)
got the boatand light gear for some whiting ready last night, wake up this morning - blowing the rocks off the mole. Boat stayed in the driveway, bugger!

Went out for a squid session
Went out for a squid session on Saturday.... No luck as John said big swell silt and not much luck only managed one herring.
