Finally a shark small enough to keep.

Went out tonight for a quick shark fish after work, sent out the balloons with some smallish baits just hoping for a shark and finally got one small enough to keep instead of the usual 2m+ ones. Mate josh and myself where stoked to get one and is the first land based hammer we have seen.

I've got metro hammers land
I've got metro hammers land based but this is our first south coast one so it's a start. Can't wait to paddle out the sambo heads we have in the freezer this weekend for something a little bigger haha

Wouldn't have a clue what
Wouldn't have a clue what they fight like, all the ones me or josh have caught are on the heavy 24kg gear so they just get dragged straight in unlike the 100kg+ ones we usually get on the same gear. They normaly take a bit to get up once we have grabbed the leader and go nuts but that's probably because there still green. Big ones I've got in the boat go nuts like makos and take a while.
