Finally fished Shark Bay

After 35 years of driving past, i finally turned left at the Overlander.
Recon landbased trip to test out some of my larger Fligs on the local black snapper population. Found a few fish and did some recon for future endaevours. It won't take me 35 years to go back.

Hospitable
Very hospitable fella.
He's been smashing fish on the fligs every time he heads out, it was good to meet and fish with him. Taking the boat back most likely, sometime in the future.

Did you catch plenty of lizard fish aka grinners
Just got back from two weeks sailing around Shark Bay in a 38 sailing cat, caught umpteen grinners on lures way bigger than them. really enjoyed floating around off Steep Point with plenty of unstoppables and a really nice rankin. Didn't get to the northern end of DH as winds were unfavourable. saw some huge tailor off the last beach at the point of the Peron Peninsula......but couldn't get them interested in what I had to offer.

No lizards
Just plenty of fun size critters. Will be heading back looking for bigger models.

My fave
Love that joint. The more you go, the better it gets (unless the weather is shit, then it's a shit-hole!)
