FINALLY!! caught fish!!... all proppa like :D

So today I went to my new faverite spot (thank you to those 2 lads who gave me their secret spots).... some well tasty fish in there.... So anyways, I got there, had aobut 5 kg of king prawns on me lol.. an dropped a line in.. BANG! 10 seconds in the water, he took it... Lost bait... No worries..

Reset it, an did same again, this was getitng annoying.. whatever it was was big enough to take whole bait in 1 shot.

so this went on for a while till I lsot 6 baits an the last one, didnt jsut take bait... he took hook with it...lol Had to be a reasonable size as the strike was really hard. Anyways after that it because a bit of a comedy of errors, as I caught a tree, with my soft plastic...(its still up in branches)... Lost 1 hook an bait... tried soft palstics hardbodies an finally went for jsut bait on a hook, with no sinker....

REZULT!!

Caught 2 fish in a row... SO now I am well sorted :)

They were only small, first is aobut 8 inches.

Second is about 6 (I dont know CM so youll have to figure that out. but they were still nice little fish.

Sadly I had to leave when some muppets from something called "Swan river trust" came screaming up in boat an dropped pick within 20 feet of me. When I told em to piss off they just ignored me...So before I did something stupid I packed up. heh

Good one, mate!

All downhill from here! The unweighted prawns are always a good bet, but good onya for having a crack with the lures as well...that WILL pay off!

trial and error is not

Wed, 2015-03-11 12:18

trial and error is not recommended these days as a way to learn navigation

Good to pick up fish though!

I get my prawns on special

Wed, 2015-03-11 11:57

I get my prawns on special at woolies and if I get hungry I can eat my bait.

$6 for 200g at servo or $15 a kg for fresh ones... Tough decision.
