Fin-nor or Ig-nore.

Does anyone have any experience with fin-nor Marqesa's??

How durable are they??

Does water and salt get into the bearings quickly and easily??

Mine hasn't been used that much and the bearings have rusted pretty badly. I generally take good care of it the only bad thing i have done is lightly rinse the reel with fresh water after each use, inox then oil it. whats the deal??

Anyones input is much appreciated.

a very nice little reel it

a very nice little reel it seems, a mate has the 16 loaded with 50 lb braid and handles itself very nicely, no probs like what you have experienced.

A few others on here have them as well and i haven't heard any bad press about them.

i have the 20.greased and oiled it before i ever used it,every screw hole etc;i would suggest you throw away those bearings and replace.clean, grease and oil every part, keep in a cover, had mine 18 months no trouble. end of the fishing day i wipe with damp cloth, spray with innox mx3 put in cover.i do a full service on all my reel every 12mths.treat them all the same.hope this helps.

They do seem to be a little

They do seem to be a little light on for greasing from the factory. I used a 30 as a 8kg reel and have had no problems.

Wals onto it and also like

Wals onto it and also like pretty much any other leverdrag you need to make sure there's some drag pressure when exposed to the elements, in freespool water can get in through the side of the spool on the drive side(not saying that's what's happened mate but it is a possible). To tell you the truth this is the first bad press I'vce heard first hand about these apart from some cheap fittings on the reel clamp assembly, ay Wal. Got 85lb Daiwa 8 accudepth on mine and have given it heaps, loves it. If your not going to cast with it grease pack all bearings, if you are grease pack 'em all excepth the 2 spool bearings which I'd treat with some good corrosion resistant oil like Quantum hot sauce or the middle weight TGs rocket fuel.

If you need any other advice or want it serviced just pm me.

cheers

Cheers lads, yeah i reckon i had the drag pressure off so it would have let the salt in.

School boy error, ah well the boys at tackle shack are looking after me they'll probably fix it for next to nothing, maybe pack some extra grease in.

cheers again.
