Filthy thieving pricks
Submitted by AlwaysFishin on Sat, 2012-06-02 08:13
Woke up this morning and went outside to find the back of my hilux open and my rods and reels gone. What the hell is going on with this place? What happened to working hard to pay for your toys? Dirty filthy thieving good for nothing scumbag pricks. I hope the smack you sell them for gives you an overdose.
So they took a 10 ft daiwa sensor surf with an 8000 fi stradic loaded with 30lb daiwa tournament braid, which is bright green. Also taken was a shimano big baitrunner lc loaded with 50 lb braid, which is multicolored.
I know it's a long shot, but if anyone notices these around can you please let me know.

Night shift get a group together and walk these trouble spots and give these pricks a stint in hospital sucking from a straw.I would stand a assault charge if I catch them in my boat they will never come back.

Agree Paul G
Honestly think its time for groups to go roaming at night, baseball bat in hand, few whacks around the knees, then call the boys in blue, "Oh sorry constable he fell while trying to escape."
We now whats its like to get things stolen out of the boat, especially on holidays get up the next morning to go fishing and find a 20yr old tackle box gone, with over a $1000 worth of gear in it, some luressquid jigs never to be replaced as made by old farts late father. Plus a very expensive rod/reel forgot what make it was. We had a rough idea of who it was but unfortunately couldn't prove it, boys in blue weren't interested, too busy catching speeders on Brand H'way.

Just to add to that...
Leave the car open with nothing in it. Freezing my arse off on the way to work in the mornings coz some rockingham apes wanted to know if there was anything in the glovebox.
Wish the police would put out a fleet of bait cars at problem spots. Preferably with non-tempered glass windows and a fake fifty sittin on the dash.

My next door neighbors
My next door neighbors caught a young fella pushing my Go Kart out from the garage at 9:30am yesterday, how ballsy is that! I was only gone for half an hour and missed him by a couple of mins apparently. He wouldn't of ever stole another thing from his wheelchair if I had of caught him.

Sorry to hear about what
Sorry to hear about what these b@#$ards done, I dont know what the answer is ?? the police seam to be unable to help due to undermanning, ALBEIT THATS NO EXCUSE. Its a sad indictment when a working man has his property stolen for what will only be for money for a quick fix, I cant think what else it would be stolen for because I do not think that a true fisherman would stoop so low as to do his to a fellow fisher. I hope that you can claim this on your insurance and replace your equipment Remember carma is a great thing and it will turn full circle for this scum bag at some point, might not be this week but believe me it will. All the very best.

Axdog,
I would rather my 6 yearold wanting to "bash up" the class bully than him using foul language.
Tell you what.... PM me your address, I'll trash it while you are at chruch tomorrow morning and would love to see your reaction when you get home. Bet it would be both foul language and beat me from here to eternity.
Its a natural response what these people are stating.

It happened in Nollamara. I should know better by now, but to steal my fishing gear is unspeakable. I would have rathered the scumbags steal my hilux, at least it's insured.

Insurance? Crazy not to have
Insurance? Crazy not to have it. Can be a bonus if a few hundred dollars worth of gear was flogged and somehow the list of stuff taken added up to the 2 grand that is covered on my car policy. Certainly would love to get me hands on them tho. I wouldnt be upset now but back when I never had insurance, geez it gets you agro for days.
I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

not good at all but just to
not good at all but just to be a stick in the mud, you should know not to leave that sort of stuff in a car. its just an invite for someone to take it. they may have seen you put the stuff in at some stage and thought it would be an easy target.

Suxs
And I would get furious. But attacking stupid nit wits will cause them to increase their violence. Better to spring a drugged up addict without a knife/gun etc. I am sure that if vigilantes started beating up crims they would just arm themselves for protection, and nothing is worth your life or permanent injury when they retaliate. I have seen this situation more than once first hand, and it isnt good.
The only way is prevention, but thats not that easy in many cases. I live next door to some Aboriginals and they never rob their neighbours, and somehow almost protect it from others, so havent had an issue. But the situation has changed, and nowadays petty crime is more likely to be druggies rather than what we all expect from the past.
I only think we are going to see more and more off these stories on here if we dont prevent it in the first place. Would we as a society pay more tax to have more cops?? I would but not sure about everyone. Even crims vote.

That seems correct Neels! We had drug dealing natives next door. They got raided by the cops, found stolen shit, weed, amphetamines etc. Never had anything stolen from us, and I can be a bit slack at times leaving stuff outside etc. I think they have an "unwritten law" where they dont steal from their neighbours
I was more concerned about the pricks buying drugs, than the dealers. Had a few dodgy buggers knocking my door at midnight looking to score.

Feel for you mate. . . .
Feel for you mate. . . . .
Its happened to me as well. Lesson learned.
- Dont leave anything in your car or boat, take everything out (pain in the a**e but you wont lose gear). I had the rear window of my cruiser taken out because there was a cardboard box in the back, it was empty, go figure.
- leave it unlocked otherwise they will break their way in which will ultimately cost you more. Nothing stops these guys, they will cut, break or smash their way into anything without hesitation.
- get extended contents insurance, its cheap and it can save you big bucks - absolutely recommend this !!!
cheers

The contents insurance is a fair point, but with a $500 excess it's hardly worth claiming on anything less than $1000. I'll just suck it up, learn my lesson and upgrade my gear.

My policy is with QBE, I think it's a miscellaneous items policy. Covers all my personal items, sporting, cameras, laptops, phones etc and has a $25 excess. Covers me for $750 for any one item ( a rod, reel and line are 3 items) to a max of $3,000 for any one claim. If all my gear got nicked, I would come up short but unlikely that I would have that amount of gear at any one time other than at home. If so I would claim on contents and get the lot for a $250 excess. Worth every penny.
