Hooks and skirts for tuna
Size of the lures and skirts is more important than colour. Tuna may not take a smaller or larger lure than the size of the bait they are sometimes 'locked into' feeding on. This is why it is a good idea to troll various sized lures and if one size keeps getting hit change the others to same size lure as the one(s) being hit. You can adopt a similar approach to lure colours but as I said I think this is less important.
Tuna have soft mouths compared to many other fish so super sharp hooks are not required. If you are fishing light tackle (6kg or less) thin sharp hooks such as Gamakatsu SL12s are good but because these are fine they may tear with more drag. If fishing heavier line classes I would suggest a thicker, less sharp and larger barbed hooks which will not tear as much as the SL12s. Jmo.
