Exmouth Late October

Hey guys,
Looking at heading to Exmouth late October through to early November to chase some Billfish, as far as I know there are more Sails in the Gulf around this time with Marlin hanging more on the Western side?
Just trying to establish whether we should base on the West side (Cape Range) or in town to have better access to the Gulf? Any other info about the fishing at this time of the Year would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I was up there in late
I was up there in late october early november last year!
first day I was in exxy the pub was going off because one of the guys from bluewater had caught a world record blue on pretty light gear
I had a very productive week to 10days of fishing.. it was blowing its ring off but I still caught some trophy fish with a fly rod!
enjoy yourself and dont let the wind worry you! plenty of great fishing in the gulf! XOS GTs, Goldens, Giant Herring etc etc
I did hear of other people getting into blue marlin including a few of the fly fishing guides were teasing em up with the big stuff 16wts etc
Cheers Steve
