Exmouth 2019 tomorrow!!!
Submitted by Ryan C on Wed, 2019-02-27 14:27
After last year was a bust with 1 day of good weather and 400knots of unexpected wind , I’m towing the Barcrusher up to Exmouth on Friday with the forecast from mid Sunday looking good (touch wood) , picked up my new HSV Sportscat Ute last week so travelling in style - had Walkinshaw tune the Duramax to near 200kw and 600nm so she Tow’s effortlessly- report to follow - staying at the lighthouse and drinking - chasing Billfish predominately on spin gear and - drinking - and pelagics with a bit of jigging the bottom and drinking , stickbaiting the gulf and shallows - no bait trip.

Ute
lets just say in 2wd even with 285 Coopers in the dry it’s fun above 1/2 throttle off the line with the crusher on the back piston broke! It’s lovely, HSV suspension , leather , leather and suede wrapped dash , it’s a good thing so far. The 1000k inspection at the dealership will be more like 3500 after exmouth though.

Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

sounds awesome mate , thats exactly what we are looking for - any tips on where to look mate ? in the hour of trolling we did on the first afternoon last year before the weather turned to shit i hooked one in 35m about 2 miles south of North passge on a big bibless minnow on 100lb braid / saltiga jig stick combo which was fun but it jumped 3-4 times and threw the heavy lure (was trolling for macks).ive rerad/heard 70-80m for the little blacks/sails ?

Stick baiting in the
Gulf and shallows sounds like a lot of fun. Hope to see a decent report. Best of luck!
