Electric reel wiring

for those guys that use electric reels, are there any issues with interference or potential damage to other gear like sounders and gps etc?
do you run an extra batt?
Hook reel up to your normal batteries that are wired up to your electronics?
Or just take an independent batt no wired into anything other than the reel and just put it on charge she you get home?
Thanks

I run dual electrics off 12V
I run dual electrics off 12V plugs in the rear of the boat, which runs straight to the main battery. No issues with interference, but I do leave the motor running all the times when out wide, although I doubt an electric reel would drain a big battery that quickly.

connect straight to battery
connect straight to battery until it stalls
then throw it all over the side, the electrics don't hold up as good as they say! I've seen them fail. You have to wind the big wide thing to the top!!!! Wobbles all over the shop. :)

im just learning will be my first electric reel!!! Only have a little boat and can't see myself fishing in more than 80- 100m most of the time. Main reason for the purchase is for off exmouth and coral bay where I'm going to give 300plus a crack - I spend about 3 weeks a year there

chris..
I use a century yuasa np38 which is a 38 amp hour. Runs 2 daiwas fishing for the day. I'm not the best with math but if a reel draws 10amps you should get close to 4 hours continuous run time. I've found fishing the 450s by the end of the session the battery begins to struggle. I use the np38s because I was getting them cheap. The next size up is the np65 65amp hour. Would easily do the job. Got those too, but there double the weight and I can't be bothered lifting them in and out.
