Fishing today.
Blew its box off, so much for a lull, blew from the se then turned and blew from the sw didn't get below 15 knots out to sea, very uncomfortable , better to stay home, strong drift with nothing taking baits.

We got tuna, undersize dhuies
We got tuna, undersize dhuies and a pinkie. Spent near on 5hrs just trolling and the macks were doing my head in, busting up on the surface but not taking the lures. Tuna were taking stickbaits and jigs that I was casting at them because I couldnt be bothered rerigging to a lure haha. Interesting to see was the very first baitball we putted up to was getting smashed by a huge school of sambos on the surface in 30m. Awesome sight!

Cockburn GI Crabs
I headed down to the sound with wife and tin lids. Run a Line all in under 2m and got our 20. Water still could be warmer. To get to 20 we'd check the line then I'd have the wife tow me back (shark troll) whilst I free dived for them. Was a bit of work and definitely not like previous years since it was reopened but Im putting it down to water temp for the moment before I start to blame over pressure.
Pulled up on the island for some lunch and a stroll, was quite pleasant sheltered from the breeze.
Highlight was probably the fact that my 4YO could handle the crabs as I passed them up to him
from the water (sized in the drink) to put in the esky.
Just finished dinner with fresh cooked chilled crab and an ice cold bottle of Lamont's SSB. I've been waiting months for this moment!!!

Went off Hillarys, stayed in
Went off Hillarys, stayed in close for some whiting and assorted wrasse etc, then tried out around 25m for a couple hours but just got more wrasse etc. Came back in for some more whiting, hooked something decent that got called for a big flattie but turned out to be a friggin nw blowie. Spewin. Wind did die down for about an hour, luckily we headed back in just before it changed because when it came in it was terrible.
