Does anyone catch anything off Rotto ??
Went out at 6am from Hillarys straight out to north side of Rotto. Fished rotto 5 times now for S.F.A.
Weather was terrible until around 9:30am then glassed off nicely.
Thought i might try a new area on the lowrance north of Rotto in 30-50m marks. fround great ground everywhere for nothing. Tried plastics Jigs and then dirty bait (Mulies and scalies). Pretty sure i was in a good area because i had boats everywhere around me 12 at one count all within 300m, all drifting. Not even a hit and miss.
Then around 11am we anchored up between a few cray poys and had the worlds greatest chum slick going for 2 hours solid. got 1 scorpion fish and a wrasse. Cant believe not even a sambo or noah!!!!
Just wanting to know if anyone else caught anything today. seemed a beautiful day to try everything but with little return.
Maybe it was just oneof those days for everyone or just me???????

cracker day !!
Sorry bud must not have been your lucky day we had 6 dhuies over the side but it was a short early and quick bite { all within maybe an hour tops} then shut down for nothin else so we came home early and yeah little bit choppy out deep but not too bad surprised there werent many boats in the car park at Peron...

We had 3 dollies in 4 drifts
We had 3 dollies in 4 drifts at the fads. One was a monster about 9kg caught by andyh. Will post up photos up tomorrow arvo

Four dhuies, a cracker baldy
Four dhuies, a cracker baldy and a bloody enormous nor west blowie, all on jig in about 2 hrs of fishing. Similar area except Only boats in the distance. Not a fan of fishing in groups.
My missus dropped a kn huge dhu at her second ever drop of a jig, but made up for it a nice 55 cm pan size. All other duies released without weight, bought up slow on PE2 helps.
Boston Whaler 235 Conquest......getting the flogging it was built for.

Pity you did not catch anyghing. At least you went out (I was entertaining ms 6 and miss 5 all day)
