i think you are going to find it a bit rough (the weather that is) there are crabs still at mandurah but you will need to move around to find them. if one spot is not producing the goods move don't waist time hoping they will turn up. they won't you have got to move around and find them.
Try east side of estuary opposite the cut entrance
moved all over the place 5 hours for 3 crabs oh well there is always the next crabbing season and the crabs did go of earlier this season I am calling this season over
I got my 10 crabs yesterday but it was hard work. Moved 3 times over about 3 hours. Got some shallow & some deep. From the conversations at the ramp it seems i did better than most so I reckon the season is just about over.

Least you got a bit of a taste mate..
If your still there dont be afraid to try shallow, 1-1.5m there was more than in the deeper parts

I think you are correct seemed to be a lot more boats in close I was in about 2.5 m me being me always thinks oppisite
