Hi Guys,
Any jettys in the Swan worth throwing crab pots off? Will be good to pull my son away from the playstation for a few hours.
Cheers Matt.

Always used to see people
Always used to see people chucking them in on the old swan brewery jetty, most jettys will be worth a shot, have a crack and see what you get.
I've got a few I wanna try in the Canning after having my ankles nipped at by crabs everytime I go wading

Keen to know where to go for
Keen to know where to go for a wade too. Wouldn't mind having a go at a scoop or two.

Forget the old Sean brewery jetty
Been getting a hammering of late. Some guys I know went down yesterday and there would have been 3 seperate groups off that tiny 1 little jetty alone, all with 10 pots each! I wouldn't have thought that jetty would even have enough room to have 30 drop nets thrown off but apparently that was the case.
You might be better off trying somewhere like point Walter jetty

Bugger the jetty. Get long
Bugger the jetty. Get long ropes and turf them out from the shore near the brewery.

bicton baths
We've chucked them off the jetty at the baths before for reasonable results

Cheers for the feedback
Cheers for the feedback guys.
Might head down freo way and give that a go, couple of cold beers a couple of nets and maybe a rod with a chrome lure for tailor.
Hope the 30 odd people at the swan brewery jetting are at least doing the right thing and throwing back the girls and the little ones.

Yeah Matty
I was only there for all of a few minutes to drop some bait off for the blokes from work, but everyone seemed to be obeying the rules and I only saw males kept, not females so the message is getting there about a sustainable fishery. Not that I have anything against people keeping the odd non berried female crab, just not something we do that is all. The males taste better anyway

Rocky bay
Drive thru yuppieville and park at the carpark up on Faulkner circuit, and walk down to jetty. Deep channel runs past that jetty, been there once fishin for mullas, and mullas have come from there! Blueys swimmin past at night when I was there one summer. Soak some big baits for mullas, throw some pots in and flick around for some flattys. Its where the power lines cross the river across from the swan yacht club. The jetty is illuminated too. The old wog that fishes that jetty guna hate that I made 'his' jetty public lol
I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.
