Cooked prawns

Just watched a fishing program I recorded on the weekend. They were using cooked prawns bought from the supermarkets, and they cleaned up on the bream.
just wondering if anyone here choose to use cooked prawns over raw prawns? Never tried it myself but gonna give it a go after all I've been catching nothing recently.
cheers

Go for it - I have used old cooked prawns as both burley and bait - after watching how they loved the burley I floated down a peice with a hook - fish don't seem to care too much!

I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

Always use banana prawns from
Always use banana prawns from woolies fresher and cheaper than the bait mobs .. never used cooked though would certainly hold on the hook better . I wonder how those big bags of dried shrimp from the asian shops would go ? for the bread and butter stuff .
