Hi guys
Since summer has arrived i have been getting all my fishing gear ready.
And l am in search of a meduim sized rod and reel combo that l can throw some lures at salmon, small tuna and someting l can drop big baits down into deeper water for pink snapper and mulloway the preferably length for the rod would be about 7 foot with a 5000, 6000 size reel. So what combos do you guys recommend under $200.
Thanks in advance

under 200?
maby a handline haha
for under 200 i would go a shimano symetre 4000 spooled with 20lb braid
and rod probarly a samaki zing gen II 7'' 12-25lb
rods around 130 and reel is around 130 so your 60 bux over but thats really all i can think of for that price range
good luck also instead of buying a 200 dollar combo and replacing it every 6months just pay the extra $$ and it should last you years and years
have a look at motackle they have some good stuff on there
wont catch em sitting at home!

Good advice above. That FWA
Good advice above. That FWA rod would do nicely & not need upgrading. I have used the 9ft FWA for the last 3ys for lure fishing & it is still one of my favourites. Not many reels around $100 that will take that kind of punishment for long. Best bet for a reel in my eyes would be the Fin Nor Lethal. It's not a light reel but it is tough & has a very good drag for a cheap reel & should be plenty good enough until you can upgrade to a Spheros, Stradic or whatever Daiwa takes your fancy if you're that way inclined. The Lethal 60 is about $120 in stores.
