cheap but decent beach rod and reel

can anyone give me any advice on buying a decent beach rod and reel. I'm thinking of getting one so that i can beach fish a bit. I do not have a big budget at this stage as i have a long list of things needing to be bought.
any advice will be appriciated

u could probly go for a penn

yeah mate, come to the
yeah mate, come to the tackle shack, we have the penn applause for $96 or the penn 850ssm for $115. Then matched it up to one of our rods that we have for 50% of and you could walk away with a very nice combo for not too much.

save up get something a step up which will last u

Check the prices at your local and send the tackle shack guys the price to see if they can beat it. They also deliver your stuff if need be!!
