Okay maybe u guys can point me in the rite direction I have been flicking soft plastics on the flats near the sea rescue building am I in the rite area? Or maybe I am just not doing it rite
There is a sand spit that runs out from in front of the sea rescue building that sometimes produces yellowfin bream and whiting but you are better off trying around the other side of the Fascine at the tip of Pelican point and down the ocean side to where the road is right on the beach then again from the old prawning jetty past the main jetty to the river mouth or at Dwyers Leap. The turn off to Dwyers is on the right just before you get to the rail crossing near the start of the main jetty

Windy
Going by the forecast its going to be strong southerlies for the next 3=4 days so that cuts boating out.
The jetty has been turning it on lately and also the river mouth so both will be worth a try.
I will be busy under a car for the next couple of days so can't be of much help.

Try to the north of the one
Try to the north of the one mile jetty on the sand spit. A 4wd will give you easier access via the Prawning Factory or a long walk from Dwers Leap.
The small boat harbour gives up jacks to those who can cast to structure.
Any of the town rockwalls at dawn are usually productive as well.
You current spot may get your flathead on the rising tide but any other fish would be a lucky catch.
