Quick trip out this morning to check the pots.
some big ones in the pots. (all were huge or just undersize ...first time we've thrown half a dozen kakas back)
the whites seem to be much harder with more colour.

Yeah I think we missed the boat so to speak. Went down to take a look at 8 am and she was howling, even though the forecast showed a slight dip. Ah well I'm going to try Tuesday morning. Two weeks nearly before a check :(

Same as you sea-Kem.
Same as you sea-Kem. Fishwrecked Brad and I were putting the boat in at 8 and aborted. Hopefully we get a reprieve tomorrow morning ...I'm in the same boat as you. Pots haven't been pulled for a week. Getting withdrawal symptoms.

We did a tally this morning.
We did a tally this morning. Between four licences on the boat and had 6 pots in the water since almost the start of the season we have kept 151 crays. We've had a two person bag limit on 3 occasions and unfortunately our two best days of 31 crays and 21 crays, we only had two licences on board so a lot went back. Our best pot so far held 19 crays.
I'm happy so far with my first real effort of cray fishing and yes, i have caught the bug.

Look like the view I had on the way out thismorning but sea was not that calm , nearly turned the little 5m pro fish around but not pulling the pots since Monday helped me to soldier on and get a bag .
