Buying a new reel for exmouth, thoughts?

Hey all,

Looking for some advice on a new reel for exmouth in april.

I already have a daiwa ld20 2 speed with 50lb for most of my fishing, a spin reel with 30lb for popping, but want another reel for trolling/bottom bouncing and maybe even jigging. Was thinking of a overhead and not interested in a star drag. I will probably be spooling it with around 80lb braid.

I was thinking a single speed saltist lever drag? not sure on what size

Price range around $300 give or take. Or even buy from the states or second hand.

Any suggestions would be good.

Thanks

hey Flexn

if you have a bottom bashing reel already, why not look at something for trolling specific? the tyrnos 30 falls into your price range. Spool it with 15kg line mono and you have a decent out fit that will handle mackies, tuna, sails and small marlin?

if not have a look at the trinidad in the for sale section.

Just not sure if 50lb will

Just not sure if 50lb will cut it for bottom bouncing up there. Never fished there before so was kind of trying to cover all my bases incase 50lb is going to be too light?

the marquesa did a fine job. $314 mailed from mo-tackle.
