Bull creek wetlands

Look I know this is a long shot and probably a dumb question but is there anything to catch at the wetlands? Usually in the winter it is running like a river and is connected to the swan. So is there a slight possibility of bream in there? If anyone has seen anything or caught anything in there please say so. Also I am not sure if it is salt water or freshwater but I think it is freshwater. Also would it be allowed or worth it to put trout fingerlings in the wider parts of the creek?

Please don't put anything in the wetlands they're in enough bloody trouble as is, plus I think you'll find it's an offence to do so.

Ok is it an offence to fish there? I probably won't even bother I just put the post up to see if there has been any history of anything being in there. It would be interesting if there was though

No, It's an offence to introduce non native fish into a system. Trout are not native .

Have a fish there and let us know the results .

PS: i don't know if you are allowed to fish there or not .

 It'd be tidal so mostly

It'd be tidal so mostly saltwater I'd think. At least as far as the tide goes and is fishable. I walk the dog along the stretch behind Rossmoyne High and it'd be hard to impossible fish that stretch.

If it's above the tidal zone,

If it's above the tidal zone, then you will need a fresh water fishing license. Also there is a closed season July and August for freshwater fishing so you couldn't fish there right now.

If it's in the tidal area, then you can have a try and see what's there.

I can guarantee you that at least at one point in time (we are talking 6 years ago here) there were trout in there.

Let us know how you go.

When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:

n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or

n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.
