was up there in feb, saw a couple of blokes catch a big trev off the rocks, and plenty of queenies zooming past down below when i just dangled a mulie, however they are very smart..
was talking to locals when i was there and they said they just used crabs as bait for blue bone, they live under the rocks near the shallower end of the jetty, tides play a fairly big role, they are hard to catch as they will take you straight under the rocks

Hey Mate, Saw the last post
Hey Mate, Saw the last post and looks as if you took some of the guys advice, well done.
I personally have not fished Broome, I have however done some fishing and snorkelling in Shark Bay,
What I have noticed whilst Snorkeling is that Blue Bone will live in groups on even the smallest
rock/ledge that gives them some cover. Personally I would be looking for some good rocky ground
near shore to cast a line at. Good luck!!!

Was up there last week and
Was up there last week and to sum it up.. AMAZING!
Big queenies schooling under the jetty, soft placcys are the go for them.
Trevs, batfish, Spanish flag & other reefies can be easy picking on the bottom with fresh bait and the right tides.
I didn't try for them but everyone swears by crabs for bluebone and I'd be inclined to agree.
It's worth figuring out how you're going to pull your fish up too.. It can be a fair way down to the water!
