Broken eyelet - suggestions

Broke an eyelet on my beloved Assassin Kob Special. Any suggestions for a repairman who deals with Assassin rods ? It's a well treasured rod and one I want a good job done on. Thanks in advance !

broken eyelet
This can be a pain. If the eyelet has come out of the runner and your line is chafing on the steel ring. If you keep some super glue in the tackle box, pop the eyelet backin and put the superglue on it, eyelet fixed, same can go for the actual runner , glue on the rod press the runner on and then wrap some tape around it, temporary fix and sort it out when your back on the beach.

Dont agree with gluing the
Dont agree with gluing the ring back, it's never the same as original. As it's an Assassin why don't get it done properly by replacing guide. There are a number of rod repairers around who do a good job. You can supply the guide if they don't have the one of the quality you like. It's easy enough to buy a fuji online and you can even get a Torzite but that may be the cost of the original rod!!
