Cardinal pulled a 65cm Tailor
Cardinal pulled a 65cm Tailor on his bream gear (4lb braid 30lb leader) from very very reefy country a few weeks back. I saw another bloke in the same spot hook & almost land an equally big tailor a week or so ago in the same spot, he only lost it because the fish jumped & threw the hooks. The combo isn't ideal but you can certainly pull decent fish with it so long as you are carefull with your drag settings & take your time playing the fish out properly.

as Fossil said, you just
as Fossil said, you just have to play the fish very well. You could land mulloway and the like on it, no worries, it just depends on the conditions and how well you play it. Just dont panic!

+1
+1, as long as you fight the fish correctly, you will pretty much be able to land anything on bream gear.
I always target tailor and salmon on my bream gear. The snapper in my Avatar I landed on my stradic ci4 2500 and 2-3kg bream rod.
it is more fun as well ;)

This is where the skill of
This is where the skill of angling comes in, its learning to play the fish and not rushing things.
Back in Scotland fly fishing was my passion and thats an art if you can master it and thats where I learned my skills in angling. You just cant pull a 30lb salmon out of the river on a 6lb leader. Take your time and let the fish do all the hard work, if it wants to run let it, it may do this time and time again but eventualy you will win just remember to keep the correct amount of pressure on the line, keep the rod tip up and you will land it.
Give it a go at some point, try fishing with light gear and hope that you hook into something that will give you a good fight. All it takes is practice and you will then appreciate the skills of angling and you will have a good time doing it. Tight lines.
