Bouvard charter trip report - bloody easterlies!!!
Missed the Hawks game (no loss) - out on Bouvard charter on a strong Easterly that was supposed to blow only in the morning, but only calmed down on the way in. Sucked. Theres nothing worst than seeing a paying customer green half an hour into the trip, and not moving all day. By the end he was shaking so hard from dehydration but refused to listen to the old salts on board to just sip ice cold water. Poor sod had to be carried off and probably to hospital for rehydration. All the rest including the Mrs OK but fishing poor with only 2 Dhu, a huge KG, one nice blackarse, a few surprising fox fish, a legal pink for the boss and I scored a skippy and two goat fish ( a tick off the wishlist for me, and sooo delishes). 16 customers for 17 fish!!!
But the crew was excellent and tried very hard. Cant fault them and also full moon and fishing never a good idea IMO. But my Xmas present was to expire on the day, so no point blowing money and not going.
Next time, but I will use my own boat in the future!!

bouvard charter
Crasny1 sorry about your bad luck with crap weather sounds like you have been following me around fishing ha ha!!!
I saw your comment about being in Dongara 2 weeks ago and now bouvard charters, presume that's out of Mandurah Cut????
I went out from there on Friday fishing, the weather was gold compared to last Dongara trip I went out wide to 90m we got into some very nice pinkies 75cm to 85cm only 2 people on board so bagged out quickly so explored a deep drop in 240m which is a bit of a drive in Mandurah but no luck. With no swell and no sea anchor as drift was so slow we headed in just after lunch 35 knots all the way home.
Monday did look ugly on the water.
Always interested in other peoples experience on the full moon. My Best trips ive ever had from Dongara was on full moon especially on Dhufish.
Hope you get your trailer sorted regards Humpback

I fish on saltwater charters a lot, and I don't go out if theres any more than 12. I always fish up the front of the boat anyway lol.

i like bouvard charters
For what its worth. Most done reasonably well and good boat, breakfast is tasty and slightly different fish at times like queen snapper.
Charters give a comfortable ride for less active fishers and do all the work.
The trade off is cost , tangles and probably taking home less fish.
Still serve a purpose though and port bouvard pretty good in my experience for a local charter.
