fish oil soaked rags, anchored to the beach or rocks in the wash zone using a star picket and rope tied to rag, this creates a oil slick, and any fish baits, this method brings in sharks ,rays etc, used to do this ages ago

 Never once used burley for

Tue, 2012-07-03 11:22

Never once used burley for my shark fishing, whole mullet would be my favorite bait for little sharks up to 1.5m. Look for deep water near a drop off that where they like to hang out. Around cottesloe groin north mole ect are all good places to start.

agree with chris .... i have

agree with chris .... i have never burlied in my life for them as all burley does is create too much interest from shit fish... sharks have incredible smell abilitys and will smell a "flap bait" or any bait for that matter a mile away. The most important thing i have found are deep water in close, bit of reefy structure can help and fresh oily baits.
