Gillies!
They're the cheapest available in local stores (you can go cheaper with Ebay but not sure on the quality) and IMO are the most effective.
Got an 85cm dhuie on a 100gm Octo Gillies yesterday, got a 64cm dhuie and 50cm baldie on the same one last Friday...require little or no rod movement, you can basically fish them the same as you would with bait, only without the smell/mulitple hooks/rigs/heavier gear so it's win-win!
