Hi all, going over to Bali later this week with my local cricket club and wondering if anybody has some tips on any good fishing charter operators or if it's worth trying?? We will probably need a break from all of the partying at some stage..

Just go down to the beach, ask a guy with a boat. I went trolling and got 3 wahoo and a massive mahi mahi, 2 people all day for like 100 AUD, only cos we paid him extra cos he lost 2 halco laser pro's. But along the beach their might be some signs near their fishing huts. My advice is dont waste your money bottimg fishing, EVER in bali. The fish are practically goldfish. GO trolling, and don't go with a big tourist charter company, they are not cheap and IMO the locals aliong the beach should be better, if not way cheaper.
The boats are basically just a log with a yami but.. Good fun if your lucky.
We stayed a couple hotels up from the airport, and we got the guy from a hut with a sign saying fishing charters, at that shopping centre on the beach a bit up from were we stayed.
Fishing and catching are two different things. But i want to learn how to catch.
