Any one use Mindarie this morning
Took us longer to get the boat on the trailer than it did
to go to the Alkimos and back & pull 4 pots

I am new to the whole boating
I am new to the whole boating thing and only have a little dinghy but can anyone give some pointers about boat ramp etiquette.
Last week I pulled up at a very busy Maylands and there was always someone on the ramp, someone tied up to the jetty and a couple of cars waiting to get on the ramp. As I was solo launching I wasn't sure how to go about tieing off my dinghy, parking and them coming back to head out so I just parked up and had a shore bash as the only place I could tie up was on the ramp itself which would have held things up.
Officially off the Pies bandwagon

hey mate first check if
hey mate first check if there are seperate launch and retrieve ramps (im not sure how it works at maylands). When launching take ur tinny to the end of the jetty and tie up. This way at least one other boat should be able to put their boat in while you park your car. Likewise when you retrieve take your boat as far along the jetty towards the ramp end so that when you go to grab your car another boat who is also returning may be able to fit in behind you. Also it really pisses me off when people decide to derig their boat for launching in the launching lane. That should be done in the car park prior to launching well away. That way you are ready to roll and wont unnecessarily hold anyone up.
Also use thr search function, there are some verygood prior threads in ramp etiquette. Cheers/Ben
