Andriod Navionics app

Anyone else downloaded it, 16 bucks and it looks ok, seems like you can track, Iv searched the maps and set some points on the map, guna see how it goes and compare location (depths) with the sounder. Has anyone else got any experience with it, got to be comparable to the cost of a nav card and gps these days.

but Iphone Navionics. Its great for the money, though for everyday use its not very functional as a plotter.

Easiest way Ive found for marks is to take a pic with the geotagging option enabled. Then rename it etc.

The charts are 100% what you buy through the Hydrographic Office.

Really handy, but not really a good replacement for a gps. No highway mode, limited number of marks, not waterproof.

I got it on a Telstra T-Touch Tab about a year ago as a back up, works well for the price and nice river depths as well, so great for Swan.

but being a touch pad, keep it in a sealed water proof pouch or you'll cry!

I have it running on a samsung galaxy. Nice as a back up, and good value, but for the same reasons as others have mentioned, I wouldnt be using it as my primary GPS.

It is accurate, but for some reason the marked points only show 2DP accuray, even if you enter them in three.
