Advice on OH rig

Ok time to buy some new bling. Looking at an outfit to suit bottom bashing mostly using 8oz but some jigging and trolling. I am looking at talica 10 single speed on a Wilson live fibre pe 1-3.i think rating is way out on that one after spending time comparing it to other rods in the range I am after. Hung a 12oz off it and handled it well! Just not convinced on the rod. Any advice on these rods would be good and any other suggestions in that price range of $400 for a rod would be appreciated. Searched old posts but not much on them.

those Venoms are absolutely
those Venoms are absolutely brilliant. Yeah, the pe 1-3 is more suited as a 2-5, but then feeling the 2-5, it is a true 50lb stick.

OH Rod
Hi mate, The Jigging master Ocean Devil PE 1.5-4 would be another option to consider. We have already setup a few FW Members with Talica 8/10's with this rod and they are very happy. I will have these coming in early next week as I grabbed the last of this model in Australia. The Venoms are a very nice rod too and have sold them for many years though feel the lighter models fold away in the foregrip a bit too much when fully loaded on a good fish, Though some people prefer this.
The other option would be the Expert Graphite Ares PE 3-5. It has a softer action and is more of a PE 2-4 rod and will fit a Talica 10 nicely.

After seeing the venom 1-3 -
After seeing the venom 1-3 - it is a lot more rod than the pe 1.5-3 jig force which i run 30lb on and will handle 5-6 oz.
Did love the action on it. I thought it was a bit like the smith rods when giving it some in the shop. very easy on the angler
If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

2-5 venoms
Yeh the 2-5 venom looked a bit heavy even though rated correctly for what I want. Would be keen to see ocean devil so will pop down to have a look. I know what you mean about the venom folding away. Just a bit concerned it is just not quite heavy enough for my uses.
