I work with the fellow on the
I work with the fellow on the right of the pic he is an avid fisherman it was his mum who caught the fish she was only coming out on the boat for a day out and wasn't going to fish.
her son rigged his gear up and said to her you mose well have a drop so she did and next minute onto this big boy it was around 45 minutes to bring it to the surface I think he said it was in 350metres
Not a bad effort from a non fisher.

Electric Reels
Sorry but I don't consider the use of electric reels as someone catching a fish. The reel does all the work. I saw a video on facebook of her standing next the reel and then reeling it in when it was on the surface. A six year old could do that.

Ten years doing it manual was enough for me so I earned my stripes
