Dont ya hate that , where were you.? My first time out up north was with another new local , we got stuck in searipple passage in a dingy until 10pm at night ... As you could imagine the missus was furious..
Syeah mate, i left work late, raced up the coast from samson against the tide the whole way, missed the creek chanel by about 100m thought we had enough water to push over the mouth bar, didnt. oh well still got in the creek albeit 5 or so hours late. Being there at lo low tide was good though. Walked the chanel and have that particular creek down pat now
Luckily that hasn't happened to us yet, been a few very close calls though... luckily had just enough water to push it. Will be a different story with the bigger boat, smaller margin for error.
