Today's Sailfish

Had to bring him in the boat, absolute donkey sail. Caught on 10kg line. No camera onboard, just a phone cam, Steve's first.

12ft
Prob 12ft, I said 40kg, but was thinking afterwards more towards the 45kg mark and quite easily could be more. The photo doesn't really do it justice, was a 45 minute fight time and went airborne big time. Was a great take on the lure as well, went the right 5 times and thought he was gone, then came back 30 seconds later and smashed the left and boooyah.

in the 60s
off tantas? We got a couple that went about 2 and a half and 3 meters out there around this time of year.Nice first sail only thing starting big is that you need to try extra hard to top it.
So tell me have you got your info from years on the water or hours on the internet?

Quality
Quality sail Adam, and as has already been said, a great catch on 10kg.
Was he one of those real stubborn fish that just circle about 20-30m from the boat for the latter part of the fight?

spot on
Spot on BJ, ended up doing laps around him for 15 minutes, grabbed the leader 4 times but wouldn't have a bar of it.

you made it sound smaller on
you made it sound smaller on the phone mate, that's a horse. I've got a graph somewhere that does the length to weight estimate I'll post up in a tick.

Top catch Steve. Seems like you are enjoying your stay in Exxy. Looking forward to meeting you at some stage. The saily he put me on wasn't as big as that on my trip up there, guess I'll have to go back up again.

WHAT A BEAUTY
Great catch especially on 10kg Ads i reckon the weight would be around the 60kg mark pretty much the same size as the one i caught last year at GAMEX.
