nice catch

two rocks is a busy little ramp

if it was bigger you would get more boats so if the 1 hour wait is there less boats will go . keeps the fishing good

It makes the wait a lot easier when you know the icebox is filled with goodies.  Good catch!

I dont mind waiting

I just dont like the wankers that think they can push in because thier boat is bigger than everyone elses. I know its a busy ramp but when there is 13 boats waiting to come in there is always someone to ruin a good day.

Had a nice day off Two Rocks

Sun, 2009-01-11 20:13

Had a nice day off Two Rocks today. A couple of Jewies and 3 big baldies between three of us. The fish seemed to got off the bite at around 10.00 so we were back in before twelve. Only had to wait 10 minutes or so.

The morning would have been crazy, we launched around 5.00 so missed most of the traffic, but it was unbeleiveable how quickly the boats stacked  up waitiing to launch.

Cheers Steve

Two Rocks ramp

How many people get their feet wet and use the other side ramp instead of the jetty side. All you have to do is ask the boats in front which side they are going to use, drop decky off on end of the jetty for him to put trailer in and hey presto. All he has to do is stand on the ocean side of the trailer to grab the boat long enough for you to get off to wind it on the trailer.
Used to do that with son[deepwater][when he was 14 he would drive 24ft ali onto trailer, all I had to do was connect chains and drive off, took all of 3 minutes. Not waiting 5 mins for someone to walk to trailer, start car and reverse, another 5,then try to put boat on and do chains,10 more---------and so on.Would do the same thing when launching with him picking me up from end of jetty.Different when he got his licence---HE had to walk!!

even on our ramps you'll get the diddle danglers, (house rules & Bosun) launch walk boat to end of jetty, then if people come in know that they can go in front of you, retrieve walk boat up the jetty ready for retrieve, but no they all stand at end of jetty.  But must admit seen a few punch ups on the woodie point ramps, especially when the professionals come in (when they could crab) just push thru the line up and drive boat on and off they went with lots of angry boaties waiting there turn.  Think there are a lot of good people (boaties out there) but a few dickheads as well.
