How's the popper stable looking boys? I get the feeling Deefa's starting from a long way back in the gear stakes but he'll come with a rush at the end.:)

I head a little FURTHER NORTH each year, Leave the cities behind, out of sight of mind, .......
Looking ok John Thing is with the trips that nomad offer we fly out to the reef onboard a floatplane so there is a strict limit of 20kgs for gear. Will take a allsorted tackle kit because the good thing about marion there is heaps and heaps of fishing options.
They also run a store on board the mothership so we shall never run low on gear.
That sounds dangerous Rob. Don't take the gold credit card whatever you do.:)
20kg's hey? I was going to offer you a few of the leadheads I've made but they'll add to your weight pretty quickly. Let me know if you want some though as I'm coming to Perth in early april for a week.

i checked the prices of the onboard shop last night, a little pricey, but oh so convenient, its not like we can run down to oceanside should we run out of something.
You're pretty much on the money John- i am sitting one out & one back in terms of gear at this stage. I'll be taking a ripper of a 'medium' jigging outfit(medium by their standards), and a 7-8 foot 8/10 kg 'lighter outfit', for wanging big ass sp's around.... The gear supplied on board for GT popping and Doggie jigging is nothing short of top shelf- some serious bling on board.
Dunno if i've mentioned it before, but I'M GETTING A LITTLE EXCITED!!!!
400 odd k's out in the middle of the coral sea, delivered to an 80ft mothership by a float plane, live aboard for a week with fully catered meals by live aboard chef, supping coldies from the fully stocked bar whilst browsing the onboard tackle shop. After dinner, we might even chuck some poppers around from the mothership for 25kg GT's..... Yeah, i reckon i could get used to this....

7/0's & 8/0's
The bigger sizes would be more suited to 30lb +.
I'll bring some down for you in April and arrange a time then to give them to you.
There's a few pics in my gallery of them.
