yeah mate they go that colour in the shallower water. all the ones we got free diving were that colour and the ones we caught out deep were bright orange
They are a different species of trout. That one is more like a bar cheeked coral trout. I will foward the pic on to the research guys to get a definitive answer.
nah you can get orange bar cheek coral trout adam. i'll try and get a photo of one of ours mate. up in hedland nearly all of the deeper ones are bar cheeks. but if you find out any different let me know cheers
