Where was it caught?
Distribution is shark bay northwards. I've seen them caught off Karratha.

exmouth i believe i had it on the computor from a mate and i hadn't seen anyone post one up so i thaught id pop it up ere
related? not too sure the sietific name dosen't give too much away,
Snapper: Pagrus auratus (formerly Chrysophrys auratus) and..
long spined snapper: Argyrops spinifer

Dan.iv caught a few of coral bay new they were are snapper didn't no wat sort now do cheers.
also call frying pan snapper, not bad on the chew either

Caught them as far south as Kalbarri. They are an important pro catch species in fish traps out on the North West shelf.
