Nice way to break in a new outfit!
I only took the plastic off the rod on the boat today and gave it a good christening. The Dhu turned out to be partial to that same Seven Seas Speed Darter that my big red took up in Exmouth! The rod was a Golden Mean Earthshaker and the reel was a Shimano Talica TAC8 loaded with PE4.
He went 95cm/12.35kg.
Report to follow, names will be named, sources revealed etc etc but I'm buggered now so off to bed!

Looks like you boys had been throwing everthing at them by that pile of assorted jigs in the background. Its a very similar scene to when im jigging.

Ta peoples! Yes, you can read about the trying circumstances negotiated to bag the fish in the full report here; Ok so we did the hard work, where is the payola?
Saltatrix: still no fill flash on the iphone, remembered to take my hat off this time at least!
Chrisp: yeah, the drift rate was pretty fast so I was cycling jigs in order to try and find the right compromise.
