First Marlin

Went up to exmouth with my cousin and his tinny a few weeks ago. Managed to score my first Marlin while moving between 2 spots only 2kms apart. Stoked! After a quick pic it was safely returned to fight another day. Overall great trip with highlights including my first goldbands, PB Rankin, my cousin hooking a big land based GT at night then sadly losing half to a shark in close and a beautiful coronation on a plastic just behind the reef. Amazing what you can achieve with a tinny up there and a little bit of good luck with the weather.

Even better from a dingy. I still use my lucky Marlin shirt as my boat fishing shirt. Can't say is too lucky ... but hey keeps me happy.
My wife understands why I clean my rods n reels in the shower....
