Wyndham WA

Morning fisher people. Anyone got some info on fishing creeks for any species. Also would love to hook a muddie or two. I'm heading to kununarra today and would love to get a line wet
cheers

 Awesome area around Wyndham.

Awesome area around Wyndham. The locals don't talk about metre barra, the good ones start at 120...

Something I noticed is they just use the biggest mullet they can catch as livies.
Been a few years since I'd fished that area but one of the most productive creeks I fished there was Parry's (hopefully that's the name). It's pretty much the first decent creek on the right as you head from the ramp towards the gulf.

Be careful when launching on bigger tides. Launch on the side where the tide is flowing away from the pontoon walkway. Plenty of tinnys have got stuck against the pontoon and a few have gone under.

Diggers rest out on the shallow flats might find you a fish out off the king River probably still warm enough with livies. Up the Keep in the salt or fresh with some cheriban in the fresh around the snags with heavy line and hang on.

I second King River

There's a spot about 20 k's out along the King River Road with a rock wall behind it and the river bank pretty much drops down straight off the track. I used to prefer fishing neap tides coming down to the bottom and just after it turns. You can usually get live mullet at Singhs garden on the way out. Should be the odd Barra this time of year, plus Threadfin and Grunters etc.  Some big Salties out there too, so keep an eye out and also heaps of sandflies.

My best Barra there was 16 kilos.

Cheers.
